About Our Founder
Dennis Twerdoff, P.Geol, P.Ag, is a senior geologist and soil scientist with over 20 years of experience. He specializes in aggregate resource and soil reclamation. He obtained a M.Sc. in Water and Land Resources from the University of Alberta in 1996.
Dennis is the senior project manager at Twerdoff & Associates Inc, where he manages the regulatory processes, exploration activities, and public consultation of sometimes controversial, sand and gravel operations.
- Dennis has prepared numerous conservation and reclamation approval applications/code of practice application in a manner that minimizes impacts on the environment and reclamation liability.
- He has also developed various water act applications and performed several hydrogeologic assessments.
- Dennis has obtained many surface materials exploration/lease depositions on public lands and prepared many conservation and reclamation business plans.
- He has assessed and remediated many upstream oil and gas sites.
Dennis has extensive experience in surficial geology in Alberta. He has used conventional and geophysical techniques to explore and delineate aggregate resources. He has helped quantify total quality and estimate reserves. He also has experience in soil’s component of remediation/reclamation activities.
